Games by Runner Duck
Dave and I quit our jobs making mobile games for an asshole so that we could develop Bomber Crew. These are those games. They’re all available on Steam. Bomber Crew and Space Crew are available on PS4/XboxOne/Switch, too.
If you haven’t played any of them, then if we ever meet you can say “I’m sorry, I’m not familiar with your work”.

Bomber Crew
The “Classic” in Crew Management
We made this game as just two people in about 10 months. It was pretty intense, and not really a pace you can keep up long term… but we did it!
We did some expansions afterwards, and I did all the console versions myself. The game got great reviews, and we did loads of press and interviews. NICE.
We did “signature” physical editions, which are very cool. There were also a number of plush toy carrier pigeons made (and given away at various events) – if you got one, look after it!

Space Crew
Focused on strategy and reaction
This game, we’d increased our team size to three people. The world was dealing with the pandemic, and that definitely made it an odd experience working on this game.
We did a fairly hefty update, adding a new game mode where your crew could explore bases.
There’s loads of fun, interesting stuff in this game – so much that sometimes when I go back to play it, I’ve forgotten some of the cool things we added.
One of my favourite games growing up was Wing Commander, so it was nice to do a space game.

Badlands Crew
Vehicle building, visceral combat
After Space Crew, we felt we needed to do two things…
1: We needed to increase the ambition and scale of our next project. So, we made a huge world map, and really thorough & heavily customisable vehicle building system (and more).
2: we wanted to reconnect with the physical, tangible nature of the action in Bomber Crew… The vehicle combat in Badlands Crew was ideal for this.
I also did half of the soundtrack for this game.
